After calcification of tuberculosis reaches the standard of clinical cure, calcification itself has no absolute protective effect, but only indicates that the inflammation of the lesion is dissipated and the lesion is healed, but there is a possibility of recurrence. Calcification of nodules indicates that the tuberculosis bacilli are basically inactive, but it does not mean that they have been completely eliminated. When the immunity of the body is low, overexertion, smoking and contact with infectious tuberculosis patients, it can lead to softening and disintegration of the calcified foci, and the tuberculosis bacilli in the calcified foci will be activated and multiply again, which may lead to the rekindling of the calcified foci and the occurrence of new foci on this basis. Some immunosuppressive drugs, such as hormones, can reduce the immunity of the body and induce the rekindling of tuberculosis, so attention should be paid to regular review of chest X-ray or lung CT before and during treatment. People with calcified foci should usually exercise appropriately to enhance physical fitness, increase resistance, ensure nutrition, pay attention to the prevention of respiratory tract infections, and avoid overexertion and low immunity. Pay attention to opening windows and ventilation to reduce the concentration of TB bacteria in the environment. In winter, TB bacilli are easily spread within the family or collective groups, so it is more important to open windows for ventilation and sunlight exposure. To strengthen hygiene and health education, develop the habit of not spitting, patients should wear a mask in public places, keep a distance from others as much as possible and do not talk in big movements. There is still a possibility of recurrence after calcification of tuberculosis, and regular review of chest X-ray or lung CT is needed to closely observe the health condition of one’s body for early detection of recurrence of tuberculosis.
