What’s wrong with the right eye that keeps jumping?

”The left eye jumps blessing, the right eye jumps disaster” often heard the elderly will say so. In fact, there is no scientific basis for this statement. In medical terms eyelid jumping is called “eyelid tremor”, mainly a very thin muscle (orbicularis oculi muscle) in the eye face, affected by certain factors repeatedly contraction caused. Whether the left or right eye is jumping, there are basically two causes: 1. Poor rest, lack of sleep, mental tension, eye fatigue due to excessive eye use, or anemia, excessive alcohol consumption, some chronic diseases or facial palsy sequelae make the nerve conduction function weakened, eye nutrition is insufficient, capillaries and nerve tips form contact adhesions, pulling the muscle, which leads to involuntary eyelid jumping. 2. Certain eye diseases can cause eyelid tremors. For example, myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, keratitis, etc. can all cause it. As the pace of life accelerates, eyelid tremors are increasingly troubling people’s work and life, especially during the change of seasons, especially when folk say different things about eyelid tremors, and there are many misconceptions about treatment and prevention, many people think that eyelid tremors don’t matter especially if the left eye is jumping, which delays the condition. It is recommended to take a scientific approach to eye jumping, pay attention to eye rest if it is caused by excessive eye use or fatigue, and seek timely medical attention for disease factors, so as not to neglect symptomatic treatment.
