A: Coats disease is a serious retinal vascular anomaly disease, the cause of which is unknown, most occur in young boys, and as a result, a lot of blindness. Because the child is small, examination and treatment is not cooperative, is an important reason, but also some parents are more sloppy, not too concerned about the child’s eyes or vision, wait until the vision is very poor before coming to see, late. Our traditional treatment for this disease is laser, but some patients have very strong exudation and edema, and even exudative retinal detachment, which is very tricky to treat. We have treated a number of patients with a combination of vitreous cavity drug injections, the use of photodynamic therapy, laser, and TTT, and have successfully cured many patients. It has provided a new way of thinking for the treatment of such patients.
