What is periodic abdominal pain

Periodic abdominal pain is more common in clinical practice and refers to abdominal pain that occurs within a specific period of time. For example, ovulation pain can occur when a female patient is ovulating and the follicle ruptures, causing pain in the abdomen. For example, a patient can experience abdominal pain during her menstrual period, called dysmenorrhea. These two types of pain occur within a specific time period and are periodic abdominal pains. If the patient has a peptic ulcer, such as a gastric ulcer, the abdominal pain occurs after eating and is relieved by hunger. If the patient has a duodenal ulcer, the pain is manifested as hunger pain, which can be gradually relieved after eating. These two types of pain also occur within a fixed period of time and are called cyclic pain.
