Consider allergic conjunctivitis, which may be treated with anti-allergy medication.
In milder cases, cold towels can be applied to the eyes at home to reduce redness and swelling. For dry, itchy eyes, artificial tears (sodium glassate drops) and anti-allergy drops can be used. For severe tearing, avoid rubbing the eyes and wipe the eyes with a clean tissue or towel to avoid eye infection.
Severe cases need to be seen by a doctor.
