How to do premature ejaculation surgery

Premature ejaculation surgery mainly includes selective dorsal penile nerve amputation and dorsal penile nerve isolation, and the main surgical purpose is still to reduce the sensitivity of the penis. The surgical treatment of premature ejaculation mainly refers to selective dorsal penile nerve amputation. Selective penile dorsal nerve amputation is a surgical method that has been carried out more often in China for the treatment of premature ejaculation. The treatment principle is to reduce the sensory afferent link in the ejaculation process, reduce the sensory afferent and improve the sensory threshold of the patient, so as to prolong the latency time of ejaculation and improve the sexual satisfaction of the patient and his partner. The indications for this procedure are: patients with primary premature ejaculation, stable partners, regular sexual life for more than 6 months, stable psychological status, and the following conditions: 1. normal erectile function; 2. elevated penile excitability/sensitivity by penile electrophysiological examination; 3. strong desire for surgical treatment. Due to the individual differences in the distribution of the dorsal penile nerve, the postoperative efficacy and complications of this procedure vary greatly. Selective penile dorsal nerve dissection is a type of irreversible nerve destruction surgery, and the efficacy of this surgery is still lacking evidence-based medicine, so it is not used as the first-line treatment for premature ejaculation.
