Etiology of widespread versus indolent abdominal pain

  Abdominal pain, abdominal distension, colic, pain like drilling, hidden pain and burning pain are all in the category of abdominal pain, which is a common clinical symptom. It can be divided into acute abdominal pain and chronic abdominal pain according to the degree of urgency of onset. Chronic widespread and indolent abdominal pain is commonly associated with tuberculous peritonitis, intestinal adhesions, intestinal ascariasis and neurosis.
