If it is a simple rotator cuff injury, it usually takes 3-4 weeks to recover. If there is a combined rotator cuff tear or severe injury, surgery may be required if necessary and recovery time will be at least 12 weeks. Rotator cuff injuries are common in clinical practice and are mainly caused by severe violence to the shoulder joint or prolonged strenuous work. The main clinical manifestations are limited movement of the shoulder joint in supination, abduction and external rotation, and significant pain around the shoulder, usually with nocturnal resting pain. If the injury is mild, it can be cured by conservative treatment, mainly with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs and local physical therapy. If the injury is severe, an MRI of the shoulder joint is needed to clarify the diagnosis and, if necessary, surgery, which is generally minimally invasive in clinical practice. In addition, the recovery of rotator cuff injury is mainly by braking, together with functional exercise of the shoulder joint.
