Closure therapy is often used for sprains or chronic injuries to the locomotor system. Closure therapy refers to the injection of a small amount of synthetic adrenocorticotropic hormone mixed with a local anesthetic directly into the diseased muscle, joint, fascia and tendon. Adrenocorticotropic hormone is also referred to as “hormone”. Hormone refers to active substances produced by the endocrine organs of the human body and capable of producing physiological effects, and there are many types of hormones, such as male hormones, female hormones, thyroid disorders and insulin. However, in general, it has been agreed, if not specifically pointed out, hormone refers to the adrenal cortex secretion of cortisone-like substances. Sequestration therapy mainly utilizes the anti-inflammatory effect of drugs to improve capillary permeability, inhibit the inflammatory response, and reduce symptoms. Commonly used are mainly prednisolone, methylprednisolone and triamcinolone, etc. When injected, it is often mixed with a low concentration of local anesthetic procaine or lidocaine to relieve pain and enhance the effect. Sequestration is easy and effective and costs little money. Tennis elbow, tenosynovitis and bursitis patients after one or several closed treatment, the vast majority of symptoms completely disappeared, and is not easy to recur. Sometimes closed treatment as symptomatic treatment or adjuvant therapy; is also very useful. Some people have heard that hormone has side effects, that closed will lead to “bone wither” (osteoporosis) and do not dare to accept closed treatment, in fact, this is a kind of misunderstanding. It is true that the application of hormones such as cortisone will cause some side effects, but this refers to the phenomenon that occurs only after long-term, large-dose repeated application. Closed treatment hormone dosage is very small, generally will not produce side effects. Closure injections should be carried out in a medical unit. Wash the skin with soap and water before sealing, and observe for 15 minutes after injection to prevent allergic reaction and other reactions. Some people have mild dizziness after injection, lying down and resting for a while can be recovered, and very few people with heavy reactions can get better quickly after the doctor takes measures. Pay attention to keep the skin clean and prevent contamination within 3 days after the closed treatment. Some people in 1~2 days local symptoms may be slightly aggravated, or mild swelling, which is a normal reaction, can soon disappear. Depending on the condition, one closure is enough for some people, while others need 3~4 consecutive injections with an interval of 7~10 days each time. If further injections are needed, a longer interval is desirable.
