The male spermatogenesis process takes 64 days, i.e. the release from the basement membrane of the seminiferous tubules into the lumen, followed by maturation in the epididymis, takes about 2 to 12 days (about 2 days on average for men with high sperm production and 6 days for men with low sperm production), and a spermatogenic cycle takes about 3 months, therefore if empirical medication is taken, the course of treatment should be at least 1 to 2 spermatogenic cycles, i.e. 3 to 6 months, and if empirical treatment is not effective, assisted reproductive technology is usually considered to help conception.
