What are the causes of eye bags?

1.The reason for the formation of under-eye bags? Eye bags are mainly the result of degenerative changes in the orbital fat, orbital fascia, orbicularis oculi muscle and lower lid skin in middle-aged and elderly people. Young people do not appear bloated lower lid, usually due to hypertrophy of the orbicularis oculi muscle, in principle, should not be called eye bags. 2.What are the methods to remove under-eye bags? At present, there are basically two surgical methods, transdermal approach and transconjunctival approach. For lower eyelid skin laxity and lower eyelid orbicularis muscle hypertrophy type (pseudophakic bags) eye bags, it is suitable to perform transdermal approach to remove eye bags; while orbital fat protrusion type, that is, the typical eye bags due to orbital septum bulge, without lower eyelid skin laxity and skin folds are suitable for removing eye bags through conjunctival approach. 3.What are the characteristics of each of the two approaches? The transdermal approach is the traditional standard eyebag surgery method, the incision is made along the lower eyelash edge of the lower eyelid to the outer canthus, removing the fat of the bulging eyebag, while removing the excess lower eyelid skin, the incision is concealed, and it is difficult to see the incision marks after 1 to 2 months of healing. The transconjunctival approach is a more popular eyebag surgery, which is a small incision in the conjunctival sac of the lower eye to remove the eye fat, so there is no incision on the skin surface, which is popular among young patients. 4.What preparatory work is needed before surgery? In addition to the preoperative specialist examination, routine serum, coagulation and blood laboratory tests are also required, such as anticoagulant drugs need to stop for more than 1 week, and female patients avoid menstruation. 5.What are the contraindications of eye bag removal surgery? For those who have infectious diseases in and around the eye; scar body; hypertension and bleeding disease, diabetes are the contraindications of the surgery. 6.Which aspects need to be noted after the operation? 1) It is advisable to take oral anti-inflammatory medication for at least 3 days after surgery. Before the stitches are removed, do not wet the wound and keep the wound clean and hygienic. 2)Within 24 hours after surgery, you can use an ice pack to apply a local cold compress to prevent secondary bleeding and reduce edema. 3)There should be a quiet and comfortable environment for recuperation with fresh air circulation after eye bag removal surgery, avoiding the head position too low and aggravating the wound swelling. The intake of protein should be increased in the diet, and more fruits and fresh vegetables should be eaten to promote the wound healing. 4) On the day after surgery, there will be some pain in the wound, but it will gradually decrease with time. Do not rush to take pain relief tablets, because aspirin-based drugs can aggravate the wound bleeding. 5)The stitches will be removed 5-7 days after the eye bag removal surgery. A day after the removal of the stitches can be localized hot compresses to promote the edema to subside as soon as possible. Overall, the risks of eye bag removal surgery are not too big, but it is not easy to achieve perfection. You must be very careful when you decide to choose surgery to eliminate under-eye bags, and you should choose to have it when your body is in the best condition.
