Will warts get bigger if left untreated?

Untreated warts may increase in size and develop into giant warts. Condyloma acuminatum is caused by human papilloma virus infection, manifested as a single or multiple reddish papules on the genitals, perianal skin and mucous membranes, which may gradually increase in size, and may merge at a later stage, forming cauliflower-like or papillary bumps, and some of the warts may overgrow and develop into giant condyloma acuminatum. For mild warts, medication such as imiquimod cream and fluorouracil ointment can be used; physical therapy such as laser therapy and photodynamic therapy can also be used; and surgery can be used to remove particularly large warts. In the process of treatment, we should follow the doctor’s instructions, safe and reasonable use of drugs, in the postoperative need to do a good job of postoperative care, in order to facilitate the recovery.
