Pneumonia in babies usually heals in a few days

There are many factors that cause pneumonia, such as bacterial infections and mycoplasma infections. The manifestation of inflammation in the patient’s lungs varies and can be exudative or parenchymal, so the healing time of a baby with pneumonia is determined by the type of infecting agent, the severity of the pneumonia, and the underlying condition. If the baby is in good health, has a strong autoimmune function, is conscious, and has small inflammatory exudate and parenchymal lesions in the lungs, he or she can often be cured in 1-2 weeks of treatment. If the child is infected with Staphylococcus aureus, which leads to pneumonia, or even lung abscess, treatment may take about 1 month, especially in children with congenital diseases, whose pneumonia requires longer treatment time than the average child. In conclusion, children with pneumonia should be treated early to avoid serious complications. Treatment with antibiotics must be adequate in quantity and duration to ensure the efficacy of the drug to a certain extent and to avoid the development of drug-resistant bacteria.
