If I have a testicular tumour, will I be unable to have children?

Testicular tumours are generally damaging to fertility and patients are advised to undergo semen preservation prior to treatment. During treatment, close monitoring of the tumour is required along with close monitoring of fertility, e.g. semen analysis, sex hormones, etc. Testicular tumours have the potential for chromosomal abnormalities during treatment and it is generally recommended that fertility is not considered until 12-18 months after treatment. In addition to this, sexual function needs to be closely followed up and monitored.
