Choice of delivery method

When a pregnant mother’s belly grows bigger day by day and she faces the upcoming delivery, whether to choose a cesarean or to give birth has become a big problem for many pregnant mothers and their families. Many people blindly ask for a C-section because they have heard that babies born by C-section are smarter; others hear that babies born vaginally are smarter and insist on having their own babies despite their clinical condition requiring a C-section. In fact, the IQ of a baby depends mainly on the genes, but the nutrition during pregnancy, the smoothness of delivery, and the development of intelligence later in life also have a certain influence on the IQ of a baby. Cesarean or vaginal delivery is not directly related to IQ, as long as the baby can be delivered smoothly, whether by cesarean or by birth, it is the same. There are many mothers who choose to have a cesarean section because they are afraid of pain. It is very inappropriate to request a cesarean section without medical indication and just because of fear of pain. The pain of labor has been greatly relieved by the introduction of split analgesia and guided delivery. Some people think that cesarean delivery is safer. In fact, cesarean delivery requires anesthesia, which is an additional risk, and it is more damaging to the pregnant woman, which is a traumatic procedure in itself and carries a higher risk. The risk of maternal amniotic fluid embolism, lack of contractions, postpartum hemorrhage, hysterectomy, and maternal mortality are all higher in a cesarean delivery compared to a vaginal delivery. For the baby, the lack of cesarean delivery squeezes the fetal lungs, increasing the chance of wet lung in the newborn, increasing the chance of hypoxia, and having an impact on the baby’s intelligence. Vaginal delivery is a normal physiological phenomenon and is the most desirable method of delivery because it causes less damage to both the pregnant woman and the baby, and the pregnant woman recovers quickly and is better able to nurse her baby after delivery.
