Erythema nodosum, also known as capillary dilation nevus or wine stain, can exist at birth. Presentation: small red spots to large red patches, not higher than the skin, light red or dark red in color, irregular in shape, partially or completely discolored when pressed. Generally, the color becomes darker with age, and may be higher than the skin surface, or with nodular lesions on it. Prevalent sites: face and neck. Concomitant: It may be associated with other vascular malformations, such as arachnoid hemangioma of the soft meninges, conjunctival, iris and choroidal hemangioma, which may lead to glaucoma or retinal detachment. Treatment: This type of hemangioma is currently better treated with pulsed dye laser, and the younger the patient is, the better the treatment effect.
