Snoring is considered to be a common phenomenon in people’s daily life, but when snoring is too loud and accompanied by stuttering, it is time to be alert. Such people are often accompanied by breath-holding and apnea, which is medically known as sleep apnea syndrome. Severe cases often lead to more serious hypertension, pulmonary heart disease and arrhythmia, and even cerebrovascular accidents, causing sudden death. At present, the international treatment for snoring is mainly traditional surgery, ventilator and plasma minimally invasive treatment. 1.Traditional surgery (palatopharyngeal molding, hyoid suspension, etc.) therapy is still effective, but it is risky, costly, easy to recur, and prone to surgical complications, which brings pain and burden to patients. 2, positive pressure ventilator therapy: patients who are not suitable for surgical treatment or have fear of surgical treatment can use positive pressure ventilator therapy, and its efficacy is more satisfactory. However, its high cost and the need to wear a respirator mask every night are not easily accepted by some patients, especially those who travel frequently. 3.Minimally invasive plasma treatment: “Low temperature plasma technology” is an effective and safe minimally invasive treatment method for snoring (snoring) patients using low temperature plasma surgical equipment. It has been increasingly used in the clinical treatment of snoring. The application of minimally invasive low-temperature plasma technology in the treatment of snoring: 1.Low-temperature plasma ablation: “Low-temperature plasma ablation” is to instantly ablate the hyperplastic tissues (such as inferior turbinate, soft palate, etc.) that cause snoring (snoring) under the endoscope by using the advanced plasma low-temperature ablation system. It can maintain the safety of local mucosal tissue structure and effectively reduce postoperative edema and pain. The ablation time is very short, about one incense stick, and the symptoms will be relieved after the operation, and usually there will be no recurrence after the operation, which can effectively treat snoring (snoring) caused by the enlarged parts of the inferior turbinate and soft palate. This technology has been routinely carried out in our department for many years. 2.The application of low-temperature plasma knife instead of traditional scalpel in palatoplasty surgery. Palatoplasty surgery is the most commonly used method to treat snoring. The traditional palatoplasty surgery is very traumatic, with a lot of surgical bleeding and obvious postoperative edema, which easily leads to postoperative dyspnea and difficulty in breathing and increases the postoperative risk. For safety, patients are often admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for postoperative monitoring, which increases the fear of patients and their families as well as the financial burden of patients. We use low-temperature plasma knife to perform palatoplasty, which almost achieves less intraoperative trauma, “zero” bleeding, no obvious postoperative edema, and ensures the patient’s postoperative respiratory ventilation, and generally does not require the patient to be sent to the ICU (intensive care unit) for monitoring after surgery, which not only ensures the patient’s postoperative safety, but also reduces This not only ensures the postoperative safety of patients, but also reduces the fear of patients and their families and reduces the financial burden of patients.
