Are cervical polyps the same as uterine polyps?

Cervical polyps and uterine polyps are two completely different diseases with different definitions, clinical manifestations and treatments. 1. Definition: Uterine polyp refers to all the thin and elongated tip attached to the wall of the uterus, including endometrial polyps, endometrial adenomyomatous polyps, malignant polyps and so on. Cervical polyps refer to the limited hyperplasia of the glands and mesenchyme of the cervical canal, which protrudes towards the external cervical opening and forms polyps. 2. Clinical manifestations: smaller polyps can have no obvious clinical manifestations, only found in the imaging examination, but larger uterine polyps can be manifested as increased menstrual flow, irregular uterine bleeding, etc. Larger cervical polyps can appear contact bleeding and can be seen through the speculum. 3. Treatment: uterine polyps need hysteroscopic excision treatment, and need to do pathological examination, cervical polyps can be hemostatic forceps after excision treatment.
