Fetal movement is the movement of the foetus in the womb, including whole-body movements, stretching, limb movements, breathing movements, head and neck movements, jaw movements (including yawning, sucking and swallowing) and eructations (manifested as light but rhythmic jerks), which become progressively more regular as the gestational weeks increase. Pseudopregnancy contractions, on the other hand, are irregular uterine contractions felt by the pregnant woman, which are strong and weak at times.
