What Causes Viral Warts

Viral warts, or warts, are caused by human papilloma virus infection. Modern medicine believes that warts are viral skin diseases, which can be divided into common warts, plantar warts, flat warts, and condyloma acuminatum, all of which are caused by the human papilloma virus. The virus enters the epithelial cells through tiny breaks in the skin and mucous membranes and replicates and proliferates, leading to abnormal differentiation and proliferation of the epithelial cells and causing benign epithelial growths. The infectious source of this disease is patients and healthy carriers of the virus, mainly through direct or indirect contact transmission. It is a common infection in the general population, mainly in the age group of 16 to 30 years old, and is more likely to occur in immunocompromised and traumatized people. The actual warts are recommended to be treated by a doctor.
