In the recent past, I have had a large number of failed blepharoplasty patients flock to me to ask me about revisions due to revisions made to a failed blepharoplasty QQ group. Today, I would like to talk about eyelid revision for these unfortunate women, and to provide some pre-operative homework for those who are ready to have eyelid surgery. First of all, everyone must be clear about some concepts and aesthetic aspects of the eyes. The change is good and everyone is happy! As shown in the picture: a bad change can cause us sorrow and pain. This is because the process is governed by many factors, including the basic condition of the eyelid, such as the length, thickness, angle of the inner eyelid, canthus, etc., and, very importantly, the aesthetics and skill of the surgeon, which is easily overlooked. Therefore, it should be clear what the laws of natural blepharoplasty are, and in fact the main ones are: 1. The open umbrella-shaped blepharoplasty that forms around the inner canthus. 2. The widest width of the heavy lid (when the eyes are closed) should generally not exceed 1/4 of the length of the eyelid. 3. Parallel-shaped heavy lids are only very rarely seen in people with parallel-shaped heavy lids who have a very small angle of the inner eye (pointed) canthus is basically absent. The first purpose of having eyelids is to express the eyes, and the first mistake that beauty people often make is to pursue the shape of their eyelids, often putting their favorite eye shape on eyelids that may not suit them, but this goes against the laws of their own eyelid movement, so there are consequences that we don’t want to see. This is a reminder that we must follow the rules and not break the laws of the eyelid, but do what comes naturally. When blepharoplasty fails, the appearance is uncomfortable and painful, so it is important to distinguish the severity of the failure and be cautious about the second revision, or you will make the same mistake again and again. Here is a rough classification of failed blepharoplasty; severe failures include: thin eyelid skin, deep sockets, extra wide eyelids, excessive peeling, tight eyelids, scarring, multiple surgeries resulting in excessive scarring and tissue disruption, wide inner eyelids, thin skin, hazy eyes, damage to the levator muscle, etc. Moderate failures generally include: slightly wide eyelids with a slight unreflective sensation in the eyes and a false appearance of the eyelids; obvious asymmetry between the eyes, slightly wide medially but with heavy medial canthus; wide eyelid line but not heavy adhesions, etc., as in the pictures in the B series. This level of failure can be modified by a skilled surgeon to a natural, normal shape, and in some cases, even to a better result. My advice is to never listen to people other than the surgeon or the cosmetic agency, and to always see the surgeon in person to see how many cases he or she has and whether there are references to similar cases. Some time ago a WeChat beauty according to reliable sources know that she has been modified twice, the first modification of 40,000, by a domestic private doctor to operate, the second in Hangzhou by the Korean doctor to modify the cost of 100,000 yuan, still did not reach the level of the past, after looking at her photos my professional level can say with certainty that the Korean doctor’s first big processing principles are not right. So don’t ever think that foreign monks are good at reading scriptures! High cost does not necessarily mean high skill, and that’s a word of advice! Minor degree of failed blepharoplasty: This generally includes tissue damage that is not heavy, where the arc of the blepharoplasty does not exceed the lid (i.e. narrow double eyelids) such as asymmetrical blepharoplasty; shallow or disappearing blepharoplasty lines, or even disorganized but buried eyelids, or partial three-point minimally invasive blepharoplasty, etc., as in the C series of pictures. This type of failure is often not really a failure by definition, and some may simply be considered flaws or deficiencies, and after modification by an experienced surgeon almost always achieve a normal, natural state, and most people will have a greater aesthetic enhancement in terms of shape, contour, and appearance. As shown above is my brief summary of the failed blepharoplasty revision aspect, which cannot fully take into account the entire failed blepharoplasty case performance, but it is still a good idea to read up on some of the failed beauties to understand yourself and then your doctor, and ultimately see if you can achieve your unfortunate basic desires.
