Why are women prone to urinary tract infections?

The urethra of women is short and wide and straight, which makes it easy for poor hygiene practices to invade the bladder and cause infection. The opening of the female urethra is close to the vagina and anus, and the local environment is warmer and more humid, so bacteria can easily breed and multiply. Menstruation can also lead to a decrease in resistance, making it easier for bacteria to grow and affect the urinary system.
