The lid warts are usually in an awkward position, above the heavy lid, and direct removal can lead to upper lid distortion and misshapen eyelids. One physician designed a flap that worked quite well. There will be scars. Other treatments: laser, some say it works, some say it will recur. It is a difficult problem.
