This article is an interview with me written by Miao Wei, a reporter from the Evening News, and should have been published, although I didn’t see it because I rarely read the newspaper. But because it contains my views on the current cesarean delivery, it is readily available for your reference. August is a very normal month, but for some mothers-to-be whose due date is after September, this month is a bit unusual. Especially in late August, there are often mothers-to-be who go to the hospital to ask if they can have an early cesarean. In the obstetrics clinic of a maternal and child health hospital in Beijing, the reporter met Miss Chen, a mother-to-be who was worried about her due date. Her due date is August 30, but her stomach has not moved in the past few days. ”Originally a few days later is fine, but the end of August and early September the birth of children on the future school is a different concept. If I had known it would be so many days late, I might have saved myself the trouble of cutting in advance.” It turns out that, according to the education sector, every year before the start of school on September 1, children aged 6 years old can enroll in elementary school to receive compulsory education. This appears to be a “time barrier” – September after the birth of the child will be born a year later than before school. This “time hurdle”, so that some of the due date in September the mother-to-be moved to early cesarean idea. If you blindly deliver by cesarean section early for some factors, it will have adverse effects on both the mother and the baby.” Sun Yu, deputy chief physician of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Peking University First Hospital, said that childbirth itself is a completely natural process, and if the child is born through her own contractions and unleashing her labor force, the damage to the mother is minimal and the postpartum recovery is also the fastest. For the fetus, there is a problem of premature birth of medical origin through cesarean delivery. The mother-to-be should follow her physiological condition to deliver her baby naturally, and not to “push the baby to grow”. There are strict surgical indications for cesarean delivery: “The average time required for a natural birth in a primiparous woman is about 12 hours from the onset of paroxysmal pain to the birth of the child. And cesarean section is favored by many women because of the short labor and less pain. But its biggest drawback is that it is an invasive procedure.” Dr. Sun said the principle of medicine is to repair, not to artificially cause trauma. A cesarean section without an indication goes against the philosophy of medicine and is not accepted by doctors. Elective cesarean delivery must have strict surgical indications, such as a narrow pelvis, fetal malposition, placenta praevia, or other factors, such as advanced first birth, and obstetricians will give the mother a recommendation for a basic delivery method at about 37 weeks of pregnancy. ”Of course, four major factors during labor – the strength of the contractions, the birth canal, the fetus and the mother’s mental factors – determine whether a normal delivery can take place, and if one or more of these factors are problematic, it is possible that a cesarean section may also be required.” Long-term prognosis that cannot be ignored Dr. Sun believes that with the continuous improvement of anesthesia and antibiotic technology, the chances of recent complications such as maternal bleeding, wound infection and neonatal asphyxia after cesarean delivery are not much different from those of natural delivery if those patients with high-risk factors themselves are excluded, but the long-term prognosis should be taken seriously, and the main problem in China is scar pregnancy at present. ”There is no guarantee that you will never get pregnant again after this birth, and if the next pregnancy happens to be on the uterine incision, it is an ectopic pregnancy. If the next pregnancy happens to be on the uterine incision, it is an ectopic pregnancy. Because of the scar, there is a lot of fibrous tissue and the blood supply is poor, so the embryo can easily rupture here. Even if you have an abortion, it is still very dangerous and you may bleed more than once after the abortion.” The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to its customers. ”You also can’t guarantee that you won’t have any surgery in the future when you get older. Uterine fibroids are the most common gynecological surgery, and people who have a history of cesarean delivery have adhesions in the abdominal cavity, which can easily cause damage to the intestines, bladder and other organs during another surgery.” Therefore, for every woman of childbearing age, vaginal delivery should be preferred and cesarean delivery should not be taken lightly. Painless delivery techniques are now available in many hospitals and can significantly reduce the pain of childbirth.
