Shoulder pain and arm and hand numbness are generally symptoms caused after local nerve compression. Generally, patients with cervical spondylosis or neck and shoulder disease are prone to the above symptoms, but very few patients with connective tissue disease can also suffer from shoulder pain and arm hand numbness due to local inflammatory edema, tissue edema, and compression of nerves. However, patients who have suffered from breast cancer, lung cancer, enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, multiple myeloma, or lymphoma, and who have metastasized lymph nodes in the neck and shoulder can also compress the cervical plexus and brachial plexus nerves, resulting in localized pain and numbness.
