A red mole is usually a cherry angioma, which can be spotted. The main methods include sclerotherapy, physical therapy and surgery.
1. Cherry hemangioma is caused by abnormal proliferation of capillaries, local injection of sclerosing agent can make the local vascular endothelial cell necrosis, so as to get rid of the red nevus, commonly used sclerosing agent has anhydrous alcohol, polydocarbamol injection and so on.
2. Smaller capillary hemangioma can be treated by physical therapy. The treatment methods include carbon dioxide laser, erbium laser, freezing and so on. Since the bleeding is easy to be stopped during the treatment, the treatment should be operated by experienced doctors.
3. Surgery is less common nowadays and is usually used to treat larger cherry angiomas. This treatment is more thorough and less likely to bleed.
After the red mole is removed, keep the local hygiene, don’t touch dirty water or other dirty things to avoid infection. Eat less spicy, greasy and stimulating food and don’t drink alcohol.
