Symptoms of severe preeclampsia are as follows: i. Systolic blood pressure ≥ 160 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 110 mmHg. Measurement should be performed at bed rest with at least 6 hours between measurements. ii. II. Routine blood tests suggesting platelet count less than 100×10^9/L. III. Liver function tests suggesting serum transaminases higher than two times the normal value suggesting impaired liver function. Persistent right upper abdominal or mid-upper abdominal pain without other causes, and ineffective drug therapy. IV. Acute renal insufficiency with serum creatinine greater than 106 μmol/L, or no obvious renal disease and 1-fold increase in creatinine. V. Visual or brain disorders. VI. Pulmonary edema.
