High blood pressure in the morning and low in the evening is in line with the normal blood pressure fluctuation pattern, which is related to the human body’s neurohormonal level changes. However, it may also be a sign of abnormal blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
1. Normal blood pressure is fluctuating, generally in the morning from six to ten o’clock, the blood pressure is a peak, after a gradual decline, from four to eight o’clock in the afternoon, and then there is a peak, to the night time blood pressure gradually declined, the early hours of the morning will reach a low point. Therefore, it is normal for blood pressure to be high in the morning and low in the evening, as long as the overall blood pressure is within the normal range, there is no need to worry.
2. However, some hypertensive patients may have a delay in the normal peaks and troughs of their blood pressure, and if the measured blood pressure is higher than normal, they should go to the cardiology department of the hospital to make it clear whether they are hypertensive, and give them the necessary treatment.
If the blood pressure are within the normal level of 140/90mmHg, don’t worry, if the blood pressure is over or under the normal level, go to the hospital for treatment.
