Can anaemia cause a rapid heart rate?

Anaemia is a condition where the body’s red blood cells and haemoglobin levels are lower than normal, the body’s ability to carry oxygen decreases and the whole body becomes hypoxic, and as the heart and lungs respond compensatorily, i.e. a rapid heart rate occurs in order for the heart to pump more blood for the body to use. It is recommended to look for the cause of the anaemia to improve it.
