Why do I need manual cycle therapy?

Most patients who are discharged from the hospital with adhesions will request a manual cycle with the goal of repairing the lining after the adhesions have broken down to prevent re-adhesions. Our current medications are usually Tegretol and Dafeton. Tegretol is taken for 21 days starting on day 5 of the menstrual cycle (that is, the 5th day of bleeding, whether or not there is a period at that time). On the 12th day of taking Tegretol, ? Daftone is taken together for 10 days. This means that the whole cycle is 21 days: the first 11 days you take only Tegretol, and the last 10 days you take Tegretol and Daftone together. The exact number of capsules to be taken depends on the condition and will be informed at the time of discharge.
