In general, the common cold can be cured by itself in about 1 week. 2, in terms of drugs, patients can take some symptomatic drugs orally according to the symptoms of the cold, such as cough, runny nose can be given pseudoephedrine drugs to reduce nasal congestion, fever can be given antipyretic analgesics (such as aspirin, paracetamol, etc.) to reduce body temperature. In addition, antiviral drugs (such as oseltamivir capsules) or some herbal preparations can also be used to help improve symptoms and shorten the course of the disease. For patients with secondary bacterial infections, they should be treated with antibiotics, often using penicillin, cephalosporins, and quinolones. However, it should be noted that all these drugs need to be used under the guidance of a professional physician, do not abuse antiviral drugs and antibiotics. Colds are mostly seen in patients with reduced resistance, so the best way to prevent colds is to strengthen exercise, enhance physical fitness, improve nutrition, and avoid overexertion to improve immunity.
