Clavicle fracture surgery indications

The indications for surgery for clavicle fracture include the following: first, if the clavicle fracture is displaced more severely and cannot be reset after manual repositioning, then surgical incision and internal fixation or closed through-needle internal fixation is required. Second, if the clavicle fracture is accompanied by vascular nerve injury, if the vascular nerve is injured, then it can be incised and fixed, and the nerve vessel can be explored at the same time, and if the fracture is confirmed, it often needs to be sutured. Third, if there is an open fracture, this often requires fracture fixation, debridement and suturing for open wounds. Finally, if a clavicle fracture with bone discontinuity is present, surgery for the clavicle fracture is also required, often requiring incision, repositioning, and bone grafting for the treatment of a non-healing clavicle fracture.
