1. Avoid approaching large magnetic fields after installation, don’t worry about general appliances, and answer the phone to the opposite ear of the installation site. Check the pacemaker function and battery condition regularly according to medical prescription. 2. If there is no serious organic heart disease or other disease limitation, the pacemaker can resume normal work after implantation. 3. For the first week after implantation of the pacemaker, the arm on the implanted side should not be raised above the head or moved vigorously. 4. Avoid strenuous activities on the implanted side of the arm for three months after implantation. 5. Avoid weight-bearing on the implanted side of the pacemaker for the rest of your life. 6. If driving, avoid seat belt impact or pressure on the pacemaker, and use a cushion to distribute the pressure. 7. Avoid opening the hood to repair the car engine. 8. If the pacemaker is implanted in the abdomen, the area to be protected is accordingly in the abdomen. 9. In principle, sauna or hot baths have no effect on the pacemaker, but if you have severe primary heart disease (e.g. severe coronary artery disease, no intervention of vascular lesions), the water temperature may be too high for you, so please seek the advice of your physician at the time of discharge or at a later review. 10. Sexual life does not affect the pacemaker in principle, but is related to the primary disease. 11. Moderate alcohol consumption does not affect the pacemaker. The pacemaker itself is not affected by diet. 12. In case of air travel, the presentation of the pacemaker card can exempt the security check. 13. Avoid putting magnets near the pacemaker, including all magnetic therapy fitness equipment. 14. Ensure that all common electrical appliances are grounded and avoid contact with devices that leak electricity. 15. When using a cell phone, ensure that it is more than 30 cm away from the pacemaker, and use the same principles for cordless phones as for cell phones. 16. Driving a motorcycle or riding in a violently bumpy car may have an effect on the frequency response pacemaker. The corresponding symptoms disappear soon after disconnecting from the interference.
