What kind of person takes medication to prevent tuberculosis?



People who do not exclude tuberculosis infection after examination should consider prophylactic application of anti-tuberculosis drugs.

Tuberculosis belongs to the disease caused by tuberculosis mycobacterium infection, this pathogen resistance is relatively strong, once infected, it is easy to recur. After diagnosis, timely treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs is required. People who have been examined and suspected of having Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection need preventive medication.

Children who have been exposed to TB patients, have suspected TB lesions on lung examination, or have a strong positive tuberculin test should be considered for prophylactic treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs.

People on glucocorticoid therapy or immunosuppressive therapy with a positive tuberculin test need to be considered for treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs.
