Do plantar warts itch?

Plantar warts are usually not itchy and can be painful to varying degrees, and those with obvious symptoms may be given medication, freezing, laser, microwave and other treatments. Plantar warts are benign skin growths on the plantar region of the foot, mainly caused by the human papilloma virus, while trauma and friction are the triggers for the onset of the disease. The disease often has multiple lesions in clusters or several neighboring warts fused to each other. Because plantar warts can grow deeper, they can be painful to walk on due to pressure, but they do not usually cause an itchy sensation. Some plantar warts disappear on their own, but if they are painful and have multiple lesions, they should be treated with medication such as retinoic acid ointment, or cryotherapy, laser therapy, or microwave therapy to remove the warts. The use of medication should be under the guidance of a specialist physician, not unauthorized use of medication.
