What is the pain in the middle of the stomach?

Abdominal pain is a relatively common clinical symptom. Abdominal pain is most often caused by some kind of strong irritation or injury to intra-abdominal tissues or organs. Pain in the left, right or middle of the abdomen may indicate different diseases. Pain in the middle of the abdomen is commonly caused by diseases of the small intestine, and the pain is usually located around the umbilicus. The small intestine is the main site of nutrient absorption in the body, and when problems occur in the small intestine, it often leads to poor digestion and absorption and diarrhea. Common small bowel disorders include vascular lesions of the small intestine (when unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding occurs, it is often due to small bowel disease), inflammatory lesions of the small intestine and tumors (Crohn’s disease, small bowel tuberculosis). Common clinical manifestations include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation. However, the trend of Crohn’s disease has been increasing year by year in recent years and should be taken seriously. The clinical manifestations of Crohn’s disease are often manifested as ? abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal mass, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, bloody stools, etc. Laboratory tests are positive for stool occult blood test, often accompanied by malodor. And there will be persistent hypothermia, wasting systemic symptoms. Endoscopy is often used to aid in the diagnosis. However, the cause of pain in the middle of the abdomen is not always due to small bowel disease, but may also be caused by other lesions such as umbilical hernia. Therefore, pain in the middle of the abdomen is a defense signal of the body, and if there is prolonged abdominal pain, it should not be taken lightly. You should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause and receive appropriate treatment according to your condition.
