Can surgery for smog recur?

Is there a non-recurring form of smog? “Smoke disease is a rare cerebrovascular disease, some patients may have this question in mind when they hear the name of the disease, smoke disease is the brain smoke? In fact, smog is a group of cerebrovascular diseases characterized by chronic progressive stenosis or occlusion of the main bilateral branches of the carotid ring (siphon section of the internal carotid artery and the anterior and middle cerebral arteries, sometimes also including the beginning of the posterior cerebral artery), followed by the emergence of a network of small vessels with abnormal side branches. The disease is characterized by chronic progressive stenosis or occlusion of the anterior and middle cerebral arteries and the beginning of the posterior cerebral arteries. The basic pathological changes of smoker’s disease are stenosis and occlusion of the terminal internal carotid artery, the trunk of the anterior cerebral artery and the middle cerebral artery; due to the stimulation of long-term ischemia, the carotid ring and its surrounding trunk arteries have an extensive abnormal vascular network with the surrounding cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, thalamus and dura mater. This pathological change is the main cause of cerebral ischemia and cerebral hemorrhage, respectively. At present, surgery is the best treatment for smog according to the pathology. Is there any possibility of surgery for smog without recurrence? At present, there are three types of smog surgery, namely, patching, bypass surgery and combined vascular bypass surgery. After years of clinical exploration and practice, we found that “combined vascular bypass” surgery is very effective in the treatment of smog. Combined bypass refers to the combination of direct and indirect bypass surgery, which can induce the formation of neovascularization in a larger area while improving the local blood supply to the brain, and improve the blood supply to the brain in a larger area. After long-term follow-up, clinical doctors have proved that this procedure is safe, effective and has long-lasting effects, and can be the first choice of treatment for patients with smog.
