What causes effusion of the uterus?

Uterine effusion can be caused by a variety of pathologies, such as atresia of the female hymen, endometriosis, endometrial polyps, and gynaecological malignancies. These conditions can lead to narrowing or blockage of the uterine cavity, causing uterine secretions to remain in the uterine cavity without draining out and forming a hydrocele.
