How to treat frequent vomiting in infants

Infant vomiting often occurs during feeding, but frequent vomiting is not very common. At this time, we should pay attention to observe whether the baby is crying and restless, because the baby is too small to express, may have stomach discomfort or abdominal pain, etc.. Parents must learn to observe and simply deal with: 1. Pay attention to the feeding position: when holding the baby to eat milk, let the baby’s head be high and body low, which can reduce the occurrence of baby vomiting. 2. Master the feeding time and frequency: When the baby spits up, do not feed the baby for a long time again to avoid eating too much and too urgently at one time, which will cause the baby’s stomach to be uncomfortable. If your baby has frequent vomiting, you should reduce the number of feedings appropriately, from the previous interval of about once every two hours to about once every three hours. The mother should hold the baby upright in time and gently pat the baby’s back, so that he or she will not spit up again. Babies’ stomachs and organs are not very mature and their stomachs are not as curved as adults’, so don’t put your baby flat on the bed immediately after each feeding, but hold him/her for a while. If your baby rarely spits up milk, but suddenly appears to spit up frequently and has a bad spirit and fever, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a checkup.
