Can gynecological inflammation heal itself?

Some gynecological inflammatory diseases can heal on their own, depending on the specific gynecological disease classification. Gynecological inflammatory diseases include pelvic inflammatory disease, vaginitis and cervicitis. Pelvic inflammatory disease is characterized by persistent pain in the lower abdomen, which is aggravated after intercourse or spicy dietary stimulation. If an abscess has formed in the pelvic cavity, oral anti-inflammatory drugs or fluids are usually required for symptomatic anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment to avoid adverse consequences such as infertility and recurrent chronic inflammation, so pelvic inflammatory disease cannot be cured by itself. Vaginitis is often caused by dysbiosis of the vaginal flora environment, but the vagina has a certain self-cleaning effect, so mild vaginitis can heal itself. Cervicitis, on the other hand, is often a chronic inflammation of the cervix caused by repeated stimulation of sexual intercourse, and also has the potential to heal itself. The inflammation can subside when the body’s resistance is increased and the autoimmune system improves. The purpose of treatment is to relieve the symptoms and prevent further aggravation of the inflammation, pay attention to personal hygiene and reproductive health, keep the intimate parts clean, improve immunity through exercise and diet, and do not ignore the problem because some gynecological inflammatory diseases can heal themselves.
