What to do if a mole on your face gets bigger

Moles on the face may be enlarged in proportion to their growth or due to malignant factors, such as common pigmented nevus or melanoma, which should be promptly consulted in regular hospitals, and histopathological examination should be carried out after laser or surgical excision to rule out the possibility of malignant changes.
Ordinary pigmented nevus can appear in any part of the body, preferably on the face, neck, back and other parts of the body. It is round or oval, symmetrical and clear boundary, single color, no conscious symptoms, can increase proportionally with growth, but the growth rate is very slow, will not be metastasized, and can be removed by CO2 laser if it is consciously enlarged.
Melanoma is commonly found at the end of limbs, under nails, soles and other parts. The edge is irregular or jagged, asymmetric, the color is dirty black or uneven mixed color, the growth rate is fast, and it increases suddenly and rapidly. There will be rupture, stinging, itching and other symptoms, and satellite-like lesions appear around. Surgical excision followed by histopathologic examination is required.
It is recommended to go to the hospital in time when the mole on the face becomes bigger, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
