Eosinophilic sinusitis causes symptoms such as stomach pain, abdominal distention, acid reflux, belching, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. Eosinophilic sinusitis indicates that the inflammation in the area of the stomach has increased and has even become erosive, thus causing some irritation to the stomach lining. As a result, there is pain in the stomach and the pain is relatively severe in nature. Because erosive sinusitis affects the peristaltic function of the stomach, the food in the stomach cannot be digested and emptied properly, so the patient will have a feeling of fullness in the stomach. When excessive secretion of gastric acid causes local irritation, the patient will be accompanied by acid reflux, belching and heartburn. In some cases, the condition is so severe that it may cause strong contractions and spasms in the stomach wall, resulting in increased pressure in the stomach, which may cause nausea and vomiting when food is under pressure.
