Precautions after eye surgery

Postoperative gauze bandage wrapping for 24 hours, 24 hours with ice pack ice to achieve the role of hemostasis and swelling, 24 hours after surgery to remove the bandage gauze by themselves. Do not wash the surgical incision before removing the stitches and avoid collision. The stitches should be removed strictly according to the date written in the doctor’s prescription, usually 5-7 days, and should not be removed earlier than 2 days after the removal of the stitches. Avoid spicy and stimulating food and blood-boosting tonic such as ginseng. The bandage should be removed 24 hours after the surgery. Insist on using chloramphenicol drops 1-2 times a day in both eyes and apply gentamycin eye ointment before going to bed. It is normal to have slight pain in the wound after surgery, if there is stinging pain in the eyes please come to the hospital in time. Take postoperative antibiotics for 3 days if necessary. The edema will be obvious within 1 week after surgery, and will gradually subside after 1-3 weeks. 6 months-1 year after surgery, outpatient follow up.
