Can a fall cause a brainstem hemorrhage?

Injuries to the head from falls rarely cause brainstem hemorrhage because the force of the trauma caused by the fall is not very strong, and the brainstem is located in the central part of the cranial cavity, which is very deep and not too severe violence will not cause brainstem hemorrhage. The intracranial hemorrhage caused by a fall is more superficially located, and brainstem hemorrhage is commonly caused by serious violence such as car accident injuries, injuries from falling from a height, and injuries from heavy object strikes. However, this is not absolute, if the patient is an elderly person or an infant, the brain tissue of the elderly patient increases brittleness and vascular sclerosis, and the brain tissue of the infant is underdeveloped, so the fall injury may lead to brain stem hemorrhage. Once the brain stem hemorrhage is more critical, the patient may be in a deep coma or even life-threatening.
