The prognosis for hereditary ovarian cancer detected early is better. Advanced hereditary ovarian cancer is usually not curable, but aggressive treatment can control the progression of the disease, improve the quality of life and prolong the patient’s survival.
Treatment is based on surgical removal of the ovaries. After surgery, chemotherapy regimens and courses of chemotherapy should be tailored to different pathological types, stages and individual differences, and should be adjusted at any time according to the tests conducted during chemotherapy. There are also gene therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy that may be effective in controlling the disease.
