A gap between the middle incisors is a relatively common clinical condition. Whether this condition grows well or not is first of all closely related to the age of the patient. If the patient is in the period of tooth replacement, that is, after 6 years of age and before 12 years of age, exactly before the eruption of our cuspids, there is a gap in the middle of the teeth, it is possible that it will grow. This is because as our cuspids erupt, the gap in the tooth may sometimes close. But after this period, the gap in the middle of the adult’s teeth will not appear to close on its own. It has to be fixed by our intervention. If the gap is not large, we can consider the method of filling 1 layer of filling material in the near center of each of the 2 teeth to fix this gap. However, if the gap is wide, then orthodontic treatment must be applied to close this gap. In addition, for gaps in the teeth, the orthodontic gap must be examined by an imaging study of the upper jaw, because sometimes the gap in the teeth does not appear due to simple development, but due to the presence of multiple teeth in the upper jaw, for which we should first remove the multiple teeth and then proceed to orthodontic treatment.
