What is Ice Point Hair Removal?

Ice point hair removal is the most advanced permanent hair removal method, the effect of hair removal is obvious, the operation is fast, the pain is light, there are no side effects on the human body, there is almost no effect on the skin, and if you are lucky, it can be done once and for all. Ice point hair removal is very suitable for yellow people because the color difference between yellow skin and hair is very obvious. Ice point hair removal is generally based on the principle of selective thermodynamic action, using the latest laser technology to remove hair. The beam of light emitted by the laser machine will penetrate the skin surface and eventually be absorbed by the hair follicle. By selectively absorbing the laser energy, the hair follicle is destroyed and cannot grow hair again without damaging the surrounding tissues. The process of ice point hair removal is simple, fast and generally leaves no scars after the treatment. The effect varies from person to person, some people grow hair after 6 months, but some people will not regrow until 2 years later. Because some hair follicles are in the resting and receding stages at any given time, multiple treatments are required to achieve the desired effect of destroying the hair follicles. The removal of limb hair requires 3 to 4 sessions spaced 1 to 2 months apart. Treating some patients with male upper lip beards sometimes requires seven to eight treatments. Ice point hair removal generally requires three to six times, mainly because of two factors: First, most of the hair follicles are a group of three bundled together, opening in the same pore, a hair in the pore is a group of three hair follicles below it in a group of hair follicles grow hair, so a treatment can only destroy a group of hair follicles; Second, hair growth to go through the anagen phase, regression phase, resting phase. The most melanin in the hair follicle in the anagen phase, the strongest absorption of the light emitted by the laser, becomes the best target of the ice point hair removal machine. The more melanin there is, the higher the hit rate and the more destructive it is to the hair follicle. The laser has little effect on receding hair follicles and basically no effect on resting hair follicles. Hair removal does not affect sweating because sweating is mainly done by the small sweat glands, which are not located in the hair follicles. If you have a dark skin tone, the laser will destroy the skin pigment and cause white or dark spots, which often take several months to recover. You should choose a doctor who is experienced in laser operation before you undergo ice point hair removal; after the procedure, you should take good care and protect yourself from the sun. Some patients may experience temporary redness or swelling, or even mild itching of the skin during the treatment, and the redness and swelling will subside and the skin will return to normal a few hours after the treatment. The laser does not damage the skin, so there is no need to do any treatment. There is little discomfort after treatment and it does not affect normal life and work. The time required for treatment varies depending on the area to be treated and the time required for treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated. The time required to treat the beard area on the lips is 5 to 10 minutes, 30 to 40 minutes for the hair on both lower legs, and about 90 minutes for the hair on both lower limbs. Treatment of the entire back or both legs will take longer. Because the hair growth is divided into several cycles, so each hair removal area should be irradiated several times, after one irradiation, the hair that grows out again will also be finer and lighter in color, and each irradiation should be separated by one to two months in order to have more ideal results. It should be noted that the hair removal area should be protected from sunlight one week before and two weeks after the treatment, and the hair removal area should not be plucked, waxed and electrolytic hair removal two weeks before the treatment. Most patients report that the treatment is painless, but a small percentage of patients feel a slight, momentary itching sensation during the treatment. It is normal for the skin to be a little red and even have a “small swelling” in the pores, like a mosquito bite. This means that the laser treatment has started to prevent hair growth. After 2-3 hours of treatment, the skin will naturally fade and return to normal.
