Babies poop several times a day

There is no fixed number of stools for infants, and it is related to the change of diet and the number of breastfeeding. Most infants have stools 2-3 times a day, and the stools are paste-like or formed soft stools. Infants’ digestive function is not perfect and their digestive ability is weak, and they need to eat extra at an older age, so they often have more food and more stools. Usually, if the color and number of stools are normal and the infant does not have abdominal pain and bloating, the number of stools is not important. If some infants have 4-5 stools a day, but are in a normal state of mind and do not have symptoms such as bloating and abdominal pain, they can be considered normal. Some babies have one stool in 2-3 days, but the stool is normal in nature, and the baby is eating and in a normal state of mind, which is also normal. In addition, if an infant has diarrhea, attention should be paid to preventing dehydration due to diarrhea. It is especially important to observe dehydration during treatment or at home, and oral rehydration salts are recommended, and if necessary, a timely visit to the pediatrician is required.
