It is normal for teeth to be sore for a few days after a filling

Tooth soreness may occur after a filling and will normally be relieved in about 7 days. When tooth decay occurs, it can be repaired, and usually, there will be no obvious pain or soreness after filling. If tooth soreness occurs after filling, or the symptom of cold or hot stimulation sensitivity occurs for a short time, it may be caused by the filling material causing some stimulation to the tooth nerve and tooth tissue, and this situation will be gradually reduced or disappeared within a week, and will not last too long. If the soreness of the tooth is not relieved or the symptoms are aggravated after one week, it is recommended to go to the dentistry department of a regular hospital for examination and treatment by a professional doctor according to the specific situation. Patients are advised to avoid contact with cold, hot, sour, sweet and other stimuli after filling, to change toothpaste to anti-allergic, or medicated toothpaste with dentin repair and other functions, and to use warm water as much as possible when brushing teeth.
