Sitting up dizziness when lying down

Sitting up dizziness may be caused by postural hypotension, and patients with postural hypotension mainly manifest when they change from sitting to upright position or from lying to sitting to upright position, which can suddenly cause a drop in blood pressure, and when the blood pressure drops too quickly, it is easy to cause low perfusion in the brain, thus causing insufficient blood supply to the brain. Patients with inadequate cerebral blood supply can cause ischemic and hypoxic changes in the brain. Patients with cerebellar and brainstem ischemia and hypoxia can experience dizziness, nausea and vomiting, as well as balance disorders and ataxia. If the patient has ischemic and hypoxic changes in the brain caused by insufficient blood supply to the internal carotid artery system, he or she may show sensory impairment and motor impairment in the lateral limbs, and may also develop partial blindness. Some patients may also experience transient dark haze in one eye, etc. A history of severe cerebral insufficiency can easily lead to cerebral infarction. Patients with cerebral hypoperfusion should be given timely correction. If the patient has postural hypotension, the movement change should be slow to prevent causing cerebral hypoperfusion.
